Yes, there has been a great deal of rain in the interior of the country, yes it has rained here a little in Mompos, not too much. But the irresponsible reporting for the major news outlets in Colombia threatens to damage Mompos’ only high season, Semana Santa.
To blindly report a road closure as seen on a website is akin to writing your thesis with only Wikipedia as a source. Journalists, do your jobs. You cannot just accept something as fact based on hearsay!
So, the road from Bodega to Mompos may be a little ugly, a little damaged, but it is OPEN.
